anyone heard their new album?
it's quiete good... songs like "Revenge Is A Vulture" and "Axes Of evil" are, i think in the same "league" as iron maiden songs.
really good kinda NWOBHM album.
And the singing on this album is awesome! |

Two singers Cam Pipes (what a name!) and Jamie Hooper, dont know who is who, but one of them can flat out scream, one of the
better screamers in years.
Apparently this is probably a one shot band. I dont know much about them, but i did read recently that shortly after they finished recording
the cd that two guys who did the bulk of the writting both left the band.
But its a interesting cd, i like it. not overwhelmed by it, (except for the vocals do stand out for me) But id like to hear more from them in the future. |

I heard one of their songs on the Directv metal station last week or so. I really liked it...enough to bid on the cd on ebay (only to have it sniped away). I'll probably pick it up one of these days - it had a cool old school metal vibe to it...without sounding dated. |

I think the album Advance and Vanquish is excellent. I couldn't care less what the band looks like. They are killer songwriters and have a uncanny grasp of metal.
Without the odd, campy vocals and lyrics, this would have been a NWOBHM classic. Basically what you have here imo is a cross between Raven,Gamma Ray,Venom,Manowar,Witchery, and Children of Bodom. 3 Inches of Blood win the day with excellent riffs, cunning arrangements, and a sense of irony. Damn, this is so close to genius. If only they weren't trying to be The Darkness' underground counterparts. |

It means they're trying to be ironic and campy. |
