I know that Rolling Stone is a far left wing publication. But if any of this is true, it confirms what I've been thinking for years; far right America will not be happy until everybody in this country is wearing suits and ties, carrying bibles everywhere they go, and chanting "I love Jesus, I love Jesus" like zombies.

I received a free subscription for Rolling Stone when I bought my last Ibanez, and I read that article too. (I'm not a fan of the magazine at all, but for free, I'll take it.) That was a VERY disturbing article. I have strong opinions about the whole Christian army thing, and although that article was about the "far right", it reinforced my beliefs even more. I had to make a couple of copies of it for a couple of friends of mine who were equally appaled. I won't get into my anti-christian rant here, but I can promise that they're in for one hell of a battle. In fact, I'm going to Ebay right now and buying some lions.

That is just sick and horrifying! I don’t even want to imagine what this country would be like if they succeed. How do you stop a movement like that? Mad Confused

This country has been heading this direction ever since Reagen took office. Beware people, religion is the crux of all evil, in the name of god.

By being just as organized & ruthless as they are

Remember, the average liberal is very passive. We talk, but don't do anything. We're our own worse enemy. The right wing religious Zelots know this.

Get out & vote!

One part of the article that really disturbed me: How can anybody, even a bible-thumping jack@$$ such as Rev. Land, misconstrue the lyrics from "Imagine" to mean, in his words, "clone plantations, child sacrifice, legalized polygamy and hard-core porn?" That totally boggles the mind. Shocked My guess is that after hearing the first line, "Imagine there is no heaven," he was offended to the point that he didn't even bother to listen to the rest of the song and simply drew his own conclusions to the song. Hell, if he's really against polygamy, why doesn't he catch the next flight to Utah and confront all the Mormons that have more than one wife? Man, what a d*ck.

Then there's the dope that succeeded in getting all anti-bullying programs in his state eliminated because it "promotes the homosexual agenda" (whatever that is). Sure, let little Johnny get the crap beat outta him for his milk money every day by somebody twice his size, just as long as the gay people of the world never ever get to discuss their plight to the public.

And we wonder why the rest of the world laughs at us.

Religion really doesn't offend me, there is a place for everything. But being offended by the song imagine is a flash back to my highschool graduation. The class song was suppose to be "Right Now", by Van Halen, but the Principal who was a preacher, decided it was a sexaul reference. This all do from the "doit, right here and now" line.

If this honestly worries you, Id suggest cutting back on the chemical intake, for awhile.

Next Month in ROLLING STONE: HOW TO MAKE A TINFOIL HAT -- TO KEEP AWAY THE BLACK HELICOPTORS!!!!

Ive never seen a more ridiculous mischaracterization, of conservative politics...

Think about this. David Duke (KKK ties) was (correctly) run out of the republican party. George Soros, and his 'one world government' ideoligies (along with his $$$), are wholy embraced by the Democrats...

Why do they want to disarm the poor????

-M

PS: Anyone who knows anything, can hear the communist overtones, in 'Imagine'. Commuinist ideals were VERY popular in John Lennon's political circle, when that was writen. EVERY time it has been tried, communism has led to tyranny, FAR worse, than even anything YOU can 'imagine' about GW Bush...
