AND THAT IS THE TRUTH......well there have been others, but this one ranks right up there (or is it down there? ) with other presentations.
As for the VH or Rhoads, to me is like asking, 'what do you want, your foot cut off or your hand cut off?'. |

Man, that's like the Ford/Chevy argument and it never ends well.
Me, I go with RR, he was a pioneer. |

I don't own anything featuring either of them, so no skin off my nose.
VH records were all-ways to light-weight for my taste and they quickly became a corperate band churning product, and I'm no fan of Ozzy gone solo....But thats because of Ozzy, not RR...Besides, Dieing young always adds to the myth. Easier to just dismiss him (and more fun as well, gets his groupies all upset...oh yeah, if you idolise another bloke, its because your gay, matters not if he is a musician or a hair-dresser).
In conclusion, Give me Sabbath or give me deth, I have no time for pretty-boy guitar hero's. |

I think Randy is really quite overrated. It's that typical thing that happens with guys that die prematurely. He was good but not a god like some make him out to be.
I think some people put too much stock in Eddie Van Halen as well, but he did have a way of writing very original riffs. Despite any commercial value of Van Halen, he did some great stuff, so I'm defintely going to go with him. I think his lead guitar playing though fast and fancy is overrated [especially Eruption]. |

I'd go with Randy Rhoads. Yeah he died young but one has to consider where his talent was headed. I think Eddie is one of the most over-rated guitarist ever. He was certainly good... but he hit a plateau and just stayed there. I think RR would have grown to be a true virtuoso. Just what I think. |
