Well I'm totally bummed. Twice in the past three years Michael Schenker was supposed to come to Jaxx and both times the show was cancelled. Not to mention I got my ticket in advance each time. The reason being, in his words, he was "forced out of the US" before he could finish the tour. Anybody know any more about this? I looked on his website but it didn't have any news on this. For now, I'm gonna pop open a Sam Adams and jam to the two MSG discs and Perfect Timing and Assault Attack. |

All I could find on it is something about his ex managers Bella Piper and Linda Schenker not sending him some papers he asked for them. No details on what they were but he said to protect his ability to keep playing music so he was going to "sacrifice" his US tour.
I don't know, sound sketchy to me. I cant imagine dicking out twice on a tour in three years. Sorry Dorf. |

He's canceled NYC shows at least three times recently. I even think the place he was supposed to play won't even listen to him about rescheduling because of his frequent cancellations. |

It's Michael Schenker- what do you guys expect? I was surprised he actually played in 2004.
Michael Schenker's trademarks:
1.Great melodic punchy rhythm guitar
2.Great melodic lead guitar
3.Ducks out of shows and flips out regularly. |

Hey, at least I was able to get a refund for my ticket.
Call me naive, but I'm still holding out hope that I'll see him in concert one day.
BTW, I got a disc from Amazon last week by a band called The Plot, which is a side project of Schenker, Pete Way, and Jeff Martin. It's nothing like UFO or MSG, it's loud, sloppy, and a pretty good disc (even though Way is a lousy singer). Check it out if u get the chance. |

Schenker has gotten more and more erratic over the last decade.
He has cancelled and rescheduled multiple tours, said that MSG was over only to reform it with new musicians weeks later, cancelled individual shows for dubious reasons.
I won't pay for a Michael Schenker concert ticket anymore. The odds of the show actually being played are just too low.
Which is a shame - the last time I saw Schenker the show just smoked! |

He was good in 2004 when I saw him in Springfield VA. he even came out to meet the fans [Uli Jon Roth did as well], from that sort of behavior I almost forgot his history of flipping out. |
