Sad news. I was listening to my QR playlist just yesterday on the iPod thinking that the good old days of USA hard rock are done. Sure there are tons of European pastiche bands out there now (Two of a Kind, Eden's Curse etc) but they don't have the same spirit. |

Ironically, the first line in our HardNews for today is:
November 26, 1983: QUIET RIOT's Metal Health reaches #1 on Billboard.

I was in HS when 'Mental Health' came out.
I bought it for my little brother and still remains in a very nice collection of vinyl.
It is very sad to know he is gone. |

Considering a lot of metal fans of the early to mid 30's vintage became metal fans due to "Cum On Feel The Noize" this is a very sad day. |

Sad news.
Quiet Riot with Kevin singing will always be in my heart as one of those bands that continued to spark my heavy music interest in the mid-80's.
I'm glad I was able to witness them live so long ago.
This is a really crappy Year for awesome vocalists dying
- Brad Delp and now Kevin
