Judas Priest - Nostradamus
Death Angel - Killing Season
Testament - The Formation Of Damnation

I've been on bit of a 70s hard rock kick lately as well:
NEW ENGLAND - s/t (anybody remember Don't Ever Wanna Lose You, which was their only hit?)

STARZ (all r/m with xtra tracks):
s/t
Violation
Attention Shoppers!
Coliseum Rock
...and they're still touring with four of the members from the 70s!!

UFO (also r/m with xtra tracks):
Phenomenon
Force It (my personal fave)
No Heavy Petting
The remasters of Obsession and Lights Out are coming out July 8, in case anybody's interested.

STEELY DAN - Katy Lied (r/m)

Toxik - World Circus
Judas Priest's newest
Opeth's newest
Ihsahn's newest [this one needs some more time in the player]
Eric Johnson - Bloom
Charles Mingus - Mingus Ah Um
Al Di Meola - Electric Rendezvous
Realm - Endless War

I've been wanting to pick up more technical thrash like Toxik. Also I'm curious about Whitesnake's new one but something tells me it isn't going to be that great.

KING CRIMSON - In The Court Of The Crimson King

Almost forgot, got Kings' X XV last month. Not bad, it grows on me with each listen.

Just received:

Airbourne - Runnin' Wild
Kiss - Rock and Roll Over (remastered)
Rush - 2112 (remastered)

I have the Kiss and Rush on vinyl and figured it was time to get them on CD.

Motley Crue 'Saints of Los Angeles' - The boys can still rock and write excellent guitar hooks and catchy choruses. It's not their best like 'Shout At The Devil' but it really rocks for a group of 50 year olds. Best outstanding tracks are 'Face Down In the Dirt', 'Saints of Los Angeles' and 'MF of The Year'. But, really the whole disc is very playable.

Alice Cooper 'Along Came A Spider' - Not released yet in North America until July 29th. It's a well known fact within my circle of friends that I worship Alice so the computer tech at work surprised me with an advance copy downloaded from the net. It's a good album, I wouldn't say great. But that's okay, because it's the man's 25th studio release and he's more than entertained most of us over our lives. I do like the way he's still keeping his sound natural to his roots and style. The guitars have life but not overly distorted. I liked Brutal Planet but it wasn't really Alice if you know what I mean. I'd recommend the disc but it hasn't yet wowed me to the likes of 'Eyes of Alice Cooper' (referring to recent releases). But as an Alice fan I'm just happy to have him still releasing new material and not just resting on his laurels like so many other rock idols of his generation. I'll be seeing him in Barrie this October, I'm pretty excited it's been four years since I've seen him last in concert, and will mark I believe the fourth or fifth show I see of him.

Cheers!

Just ordered from ebay:

Bulletboys - Za Za

Hey Coop, I've been hearing for the past few years about another Alice box set being released, this one being his first 17 albums, from Pretties For You to DaDa. U have any word on this?
