As for Vault how could they leave "Too late for love" off of that album. Oh yeah, never really like the first two albums thought they sounded too much like an acdc type band. When they changed sounds they sounded more fresh. As for lyrics, I prefer songs with deeper meaning but, I'd seek inspiration from higher sources then rock songs. |

Although the only album i own from Def Leppard is Hysteria, I think that what ive heard from Pyromania is the best. In some cases i like bands better when theyve sold out(not their attitudes; their music), because they get smoother more catchy sounds, which in the case of Def Leppard i think was a good thing. I think that the first two albums(from what ive heard) are alright but sound like just average rock and roll(although their energy is good), but then with pyromania and hysteria with the synths and layered vocals, they made the perfect pop metal sound. Im sure many of you probably just hate pop-metal in general, but i like the catchiness in it. yes it gets tiring after a while, but i like the classic pop metal songs like Photograph and Hysteria(actually maybe they arent metal), i think they would sound best in a mix of the poppy sound but with a harder sound at the same time. songs like "Gods of War", "Dont shoot shotgun", and "Run Riot" are all cool for the pop metal moods that i sometimes get in. |

My main point of respecting them more than Metallica comes from the idea of Metallica basically telling all the fans that supported them that they are pathetic....I will agree that those Def Leppard songs you listed are worse than Metallica's music, just Metallica's attitude is what P*sses me off. I still can't bring myself to invest the money to replace my old Metallica tapes with the cds....... pity, because their first three kicked a** |
