I've had my home CD player since 1988 - scary. The next one I purchase will be the CD/DVD/recorder combo.

If you want to make your own CD's, I'd just get a CD-R for your computer. Dont you have to use "CD-R for AUDIO" with the Philips burners (which are at least $2 each, while the CD-R's for computers are <$1 each).
