Death: What a pity; I'm afraid we'll have to burn you alive and offer your charred corpse to the gods of rock and metal. Well, maybe not... We could pelt you with carrots, though! *laugh* Anyway, it IS ironic how these "icons of innocence" could pass for porn queens in an instant.

RAIDER- Are they gonna re-run that nikelodeon awards show? No bra? When? What channel? What time? No Bra? Seriously? They have the AC on? Ahem, excuse me. I think I'll let my boys get her poster, but not allow the music. IS THAT FAIR? (just kidding, women of this board).

why such an attack on Britny? Shes cooler than any other mtv uh star. Hit Me Baby One More time may suck but its kindof funny actually. It almost rocks.
you should influence your kids with heavy metal and also get them to play instruments pianno even would be good. If they get to be good at their instruments(or you could get them vocal lessons), they will understand music more and will be less ready to just accept whatever junk song comes along. Then they will look for their own kind of music and will remember back to when you played metal and re-explore it. Even if they dont become metal fans they will not be mtv lemmings and will have a better understanding of music. maybe even better than you. i know that once i started playing bass for a while i started thinking for about what goes into music and it turned me away from trendy stuff and i got more and more into metal. Its not even that metal is more talented but when you notice the same themes and boring riffs in a song over and over you want a change. if you dont know any music you wont notice or maybe you wont just plain care youll just listen to the nonsense and sing the words for fun. |

VERY WELL SAID, JAKE! Both my boys have an extreme interest in music, both listening to it and trying to perform it. I had drums until I got married back in 1987 and had no room for them. I sold them and eventually got an acustic guitar, in which both boys are "messing" around with. I do encourage them - but I think it's just way too hard for them. You're right about the piano, or even keyboards. Where's my Visa Platinum Card?

Exciter,
Your wife didn't work your drums into the living furniture? I can't tell you how many years I've spent with road racks for end tables and speaker cabinets doubling as bookshelves. This was the first place that he ever had a studio.
As for kids and instruments, our daughter got a guitar and amp when she was 2.
Egads, remind me not to post until my morning caffine has kicked in!

Oh, no. There is nothing wrong with these girls looking like little porn queens with big fakies. At least not from my male pig perspective. Why else would I watch them?
Of course, we must remind out little girls that they do not have to look like little skinny porn queens with big titties when they grow up. We have to let them know that the only way to be desireable or a good person is not to be rail-thin and surgically enhanced.
Oh, the first coffee of the day is still half full so I don't remember the prior posts, but as for the music of these people, I don't really care. It's kid music for kids. If your tots like it, good for them. I don't think anyone would suggest that all 5 year olds be force fed nothing but Iced Earth. |

When kids are at such a young age they are subseptable (Sorry if that's spelt wrong) to all kinds of different styles of music.
Thart's why chart ****e is so popular among pre-pubesants, cos they have catchy tunes and cheesy music. Kids fnd it fun to listen to, what you have to do is play 'your' music to them so they have a range, a scope, and then as they grow up, they'll find their own grove!
Keep rockin'
