Are there any Jackyl fans here? I wasn't real familiar with them, but I went to see them in concert tonight, and they ROCKED!!!! Has anybody else had a chance to see these guys live, and if so, what did ya think? |

???? Are they still around? I've got their second record, called Push Comes To Shove, from 1994. Real quality stuff, but never seen them live though.

Yeah PP I saw them on their first tour(in a fairly small venue in Syracuse, NY) with Damn Yankees and it was an awesome show. Does Jesse still bring out the chainsaw for song "The Lumberjack" and cut $hit up? Come to think of it remembering back to that night Ol' Ted had his bow and arrow out shooting at a stuffed deer.

I never considered Jackyl metal, but they are a good rock n roll band. They have more of a southern edge than people realize, and they play good time rock n roll with no ballads that is fun to drink to and party to and just have a good 'ol time, and raise a little hell. I saw them open up for ZZTop in '94, and they were real good. |

Jackyl: One of the many reasons metal imploded in the early 90s. IMHO complete crap. |

I saw Jackyl Saturday nite too - also my first time. They put on a great show. It was funny to watch everyone after the show clamoring for a piece of the stool that JJDP sacrificed on stage. |

hey PP,
I saw them last year or so when they we out on that tour that was 30 shows in 30 days or
something like that. I think they were going for some record # of shows. I remember because they played a day show on Sat in one town and a night show several hours away. They are a pretty good rock n roll band adn I like the first CD better than the second. |

p.s. yes they still bring out the chainsaw on stage. " rock me roll me Jackyl me off" was the tour slogan a few years ago.
