A source close to the Halford camp and present at the recording studio posted the following
message:

quote:

The bomb has dropped By that I mean - Rob's new demos have just been
completed! I had the immense pleasure to hear
some of the mixes tonight and let me tell you - this **** will rip yer friggin' heads
off! Incredible
music, raw and in-your-face yet melodic with hooks up the wazoo, and stellar
vocals by the Metal
God. Whoever said Rob couldn't cut it anymore - you've got another thing
coming... Not to give too
much away, but the songs range from classic old school Priest-style metal
('Killing Machine' thru
'Screaming') to stuff that could've been on 'Painkiller' or the first Fight album, and
the Halligan tune
is absolutely epic. Awesome! I don't want to turn this into a Rob vs. Priest war,
but if the album
turns out as good as the demos, Judas are gonna have to step it up several
notches compared to
'Jugulator' if they want to compete with this monster (in the making) coz this is
the REAL deal!
Rob is definitely back with a vengeance and will leave his mark in the new
millennium. You have
been warned!

I knew it wouldn't take long after they recorded the demos for this to happen.

According to Dave Johnson, they will announce Rob Halfords new record deal for North
America and Japan in 6-8 weeks. (He still has a record deal for the rest of the world.)

I can't suppress my happiness that Metal/Rock is finally making a comeback!

I forgot that Dave Johnson (Rob's PR guy) posted this message yesterday.

quote:
It's electric here @ Rob Halford Central. We've heard a few outtakes over
the phone from the studio, and I don't think I can describe it any better than
what's been said
above.

I've been told the most recent session wrapped about 5:00 am. Rob left L.A.
immediately, as well
as one of the two guitarists.

Mr. Baxter has said he will probably allow us to put a couple of samples of the
demos on the site.

Plans are now being made to schedule what could be the final writing session in
October.

I'll try and get more info for you next week.

Later.

Dave.
