I've played Blind Guardian too much. I'm sure my neighbors agree. Time for a rest for them for a while. Makes me get back into Tolkien again, to the exclusion of everything else.

Thank you, MarillionFan. I appreciate both the compliment and the fact that you are willing to offer it in spite of our past differences.

Really, I am not really a supporter of the "mallmetal" genre. Of the bands you have included in your lists of mallmetal bands, I have not heard anything by 75% of them (I don't regularly listen to music radio or watch MTV) ands I personally do not care for the music I have heard from the other 25% (except for Kid Rock, and I only like about three songs that he does).

The point I was trying to make in the previous mallmetal thread was that I prefer to support what I like rather than attack what I do not like. It is like my position on homosexuality--I personally find the whole concept of homosexuality to be incredibly nasty but I do not advocate attacking homosexuals. Or, in terms of cuisine, I don't attack Koreans for eating dogs though I would probably get physically ill if I were ever in a position where I had to partake of cooked dog. It is not that I support mallmetal, I just feel that the energy metal fans use in hating mallmetal would be better spent promoting 80s-type metal, which is the genre of music that I typically prefer.
