I just discovered Bolt Thrower. They rock, and their style is really unique. i guess it could somewhat be labelled death metal, but they have a lot of melody and stuff. Does all their stuff rock as much as for example the song "for victory"? What album would you recommend??
Thanks guys |

Metall, Bolt Thrower is indeed a death metal band, and usually I'm not a big fan of that genre, but as you said, they have a lot of melody to their songs, and because of that I like them. I have heard most of their releases, but I only own three of their albums, in my opinion, their best releases. "Warmaster", "The IVth Crusade", and "Mercenary". I would stay away from "In Battle There Is No Law", since it has no melody at all, and none of the trademarks of later Bolt Thrower albums. It's a true grindcore album from beginning to end. "Mercenary" is their latest effort, and I concider this to be their best since the new drummer has a lot more to offer than Andy Whale's rather simple and monotonous drumming. |

Donīt get all the albums beacuse they are all quite alike. For Victory and the IVth Crusade are the best, but boltthrower doesnīt change much and they tend to be abit boring in the long run. But one or two cds are definatly worth it. |
