For Immediate Release:
W.A.S.P. To Unleash 'Unholy Terror' On North America
Through Metal-Is Records
The new Millennium has brought about some drastic changes in modern society.
A new political regime has been introduced and is making a strong attempt to
curb the influence that the Entertainment industry has on America's youth.
Television & modern music have replaced parents as the leading influence on
our children's lives, and thus, rather than take measures to re-instill
parents as the #1 source of inspiration, politicians & religious zealots are
focusing a full-scale attack on Entertainment...wrong move!
W.A.S.P., a four-man war machine spawned to take aim at blatant social
hypocrisy, has returned to open the eyes (and ears) of the masses via a sonic
Jihad called 'Unholy Terror'! Metal-Is Records has granted frontman Blackie
Lawless a virtual 'license to kill', as Unholy Terror's 9 tracks of raw,
blistering Rock targets the sickness of the nation, which has now grown to
epidemic proportions!
"Unholy Terror deals with socio, religious and political hypocrisy. This
album attempts to draw attention to those hypocritical points of view,"
Lawless explained. "This record in no way is intended to be blasphemous or an
attack on religion, but specifically man's interpretation of what they
believe the Bible says."
That said, expect W.A.S.P. to pull no punches through their trademark
chainsaw-driven yet thought-provoking music, a quality the band has mastered
throughout its near 20-year history. Expect Unholy Terror to violate the
marketplace on April 3rd.

Only 2 months to go. And I'm going to cross my fingers that it's not another Helldorado. But it really doesn't matter cuz I'm buying it! |

Thank God Blackie seems to be using his brain again. "It's a bitch when you go to take a piss and your dick smells like bad pussy" was a perfect microcosm of just how pandering and mindless he'd gotten.
Incredible, I didn't think I'd ever bother to buy an album of his again without hearing a lot from it first after the terrible _Helldorado_, but damn, I'm actually getting excited over this one.
Now, send Chris back in time to when his writing contributions weren't detrimental, and we'll be set! |

Oh man, it sounds great!!! Thanks for posting HR.
But after reading I had to remind myself that this is Wasp! Aside from "Crimson Idol", Blackie's songs are very predictable and (in ways) redundant. Though up to "Crimson Idol" I love, that album I hoped would take him to the next level of writing MUSIC. I still love his attitude and lyrics. No complaints there. It's that dern music and/or song structure that I would like to see expand.
Here's hoping for the best!...

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it:
I was not the only W.A.S.P. fan who was disappointed with the last two albums!!!
I feel better now. |

Tyranno--
You mean you didn't recognize that "It's a bitch..." line?
Blackie plagiarized that line from a little-known Robert Frost poem-- I read this in a Frost anthology while in high school. Looks like the Canadian educational system needs to play a little "catch-up," eh?

Take it from an English major - every piece of poetry I've ever been forced to read has been purged from my memory as soon as it was no longer useful in getting grades. If I don't discover it on and in my own time, it's useless to me no matter how good it is. |
