What a tough question; so many different bands you can put together. If I was gonna be in the band, here's what I'd do:

guitar/lead vox -- Izzy Stradlin
guitar/lead vox -- Bernie Torme
drums, and smoking on matters -- Leonard Haze
bass -- me (I'll learn to play so I can jam with these guys).

Style will, of course, be loud, loose and boozy.

Ok, here's another:

Dio -- vox
Ritchie Blackmore - gtr
Nicko McBrain -- drums
Steve Harris -- bass
Jon Lord -- keys

vintage Rainbow/Sabbath with a bit of Maiden's tempo. Oooooo hose me down!

Gotta agree with DTFM, too many insane combinations possible here. My first pick:

Lead Vox: Lizzy Borden
1st Ld Gtr: Jake E Lee
2nd Ld Gtr: Frank Hannon (Tesla)
Bass: Blackie Lawless
Drums: Steve Riley (WASP, Motley Crue)
Legal Rep: Johnny Cochran (God knows they'd need him!!)

Band Name: Monkey and the Spankers

2nd Guitar: Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme)
Bass Guitar: Billy Sheehan (Talas, DLR, Mr. Big, Niacin)
Drums: Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater/Rush Tribute)
Keyboards: Jens Johanssen (Malmsteen) or David Rosenthol (Rainbow)

Band Name: Speed of Light
Category: Symphonic Power Metal

While going through and finally inventoring all my albums, cassettes and CD's this past 3-day weekend, I came across several "All Star" bands (Asia, Damn Yankees, etc.) Soooo, I was thinking, If you could put one together, what would be your dream all star band, and what would you name them?

Lead Singer:
Rythm Guitarist:
Lead Guitarist:
2nd Lead Guitarist(?):
Bassist:
Drums:
Synth(?):

Band Name:
What category of music would it be?

No deceased band members, please. Otherwise, I think Randy Rhodes would be a very busy guitarist!

It would also be a cool idea to "critique" each dream band posted.

Whose first???????

Guitar #1: Brad Gillis (Ozzy/Night Ranger)
Guitar #2: Jake E. Lee (Ozzy/Badlands)
Bass: Geezer Butler (Sabbath)
Drums: Eric Singer (sticks for hire/Alice Cooper/Badlands/KISS/ESP)
Keyboards: Who really cares!

Name: PHAROAH

Type of music: Heavy Metal with a mythological theme. All album cover artistry will feature a fierce dragon being ridden by a fairy with big jugs!
