Band: Dark Rain
Voice : Layne Stanly (Alice in Chains)
Lead : Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple/Rainbow)
Rhythm : Tony Iommy (Black Sabbath)
Bass : Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)
Drums : Niel Plert (Rush)
More DOOM/MELODRAMA METEAL.
The perfect rhythm section with the killer sounds on the rhythm guitar, a touch of virtuosity on the lead guitar (it is all about the song) and the gloomy dark voice.
Perfect. |

Lead Singer: King Diamond
Lead/Rythm Guitar: Yngwie Malmsteen
Lead/Rythm Guitar: Alex Skolnick (Testament)
Keybords: Jens Johanssen (Yngwie Malmsteen)
Bass/Backing Vox: Steve Rowe (Mortification)
Drums: Dave Lombardo (Slayer/Grip Inc.)
Band Name: Explicit Bliss
Style: 80's Style Heavy Metal
I thought this was a good blend of speed with Yngwie Malmsteen and Dave Lombardo with rough and heavy sounds from Steve Rowe plus excellent harmonic guitar and keyboards from Alex Skolnick and Jens Johanssen to round out the music and make it stand out and to close it all in with King Diamonds eerie vocals not to mention his brilliant storytelling lyrics.
This band would definately bring back the sound that was lost in the 80's! |
