I was willing to follow the confines of the genre. You were the one who boldly stated, "Foreign bands have ***always*** had the greatest lyrics. Don't agree? Listen to any of the Brits."
Maybe you and I define the word "any" differently.
If you want to talk about within the genre, let's talk about Cradle of Filth.

P.S. - by the way, if foreign bands have always had the best lyrics, why were we able to come up with so many humorous examples of their poor lyrics? |

Wasted-
I don't much care for it. Aside from the bad lyrics, they are very derivative.
If you like prog-metal, check out either of ARK's two CDs.

Ron,
Perhaps that was a bad example, "million" can be interpreted as a "group", so to speak. How about "there is ten records (or idiots)" and "there is too many people"? Most Americans wouldn't have a problem with that (?), but it's wrong for sure. |

Hey guys, check this out! The following "pearls" are hilarious!
"We'll beat you and whip you of honor, we'll strip you down on your knees and beg". (Anthrax, Subjugator)
"Swift on the foot, great of might". (Anthrax, Deathrider)
"I can't get into words how I fee". (Motley Crue, Starry Eyes)
"She's a streamline queen on a sex craved movie scree" (Motley Crue, Too Fast for Life)
"Girl, you've been giving me that line so many times it kinda gets that feeling bad look good" (Aerosmith, Crazy)
I've got more... |
