Hey all!!
I just got back from the Pantera show in Edmonton, and it was one of the best shows I have EVER seen. It was so f.ucking great!! It was just them and Skrape, Morbid Angel didn't show up and Slayer wasn't on for the Alberta shows (rumor has it that Slayer is banned from Alberta -- dunno if it's true or not) Me and my buds decided to skip Skrape but were in the pit for the entire Pantera set list. They sounded so good!! It was mixed great, and there were really frickin' sweet pyrotechnics. If you didn't catch them on this tour, I feel sorry for you(if you're a Pantera fan that is) because you missed on hell of a show. =)
the only thing that pissed me off was that they didn't play Cemetary Gates....but they made up for by playing songs like Primal Concrte Sledge and Strength Beyond Strength....who woulda thought that they'd play these two songs? The entire crowd was tooken by surprise.
All in all, it was a great night, Pantera rocked, I creamed the shi.t out of some punk in the mosh pit who wouldn't stop getting his hair in my mouth and I cought a pick from Dimebag. F.uckin' rights =) |

Missed this show in Calgary - would've gone if they still had Static-X and Slayer, but alas.
As for Slayer being banned here - naah. Provinces don't have the power to genuinely ban anything. At the worst, it comes down to the venue owner(s) being unwilling to show a given band, as was the case with Marilyn Manson. |

Saw the show in New Haven, CT. THat was by far the best I've ever seen them. Phil was sober and commanding as the front man. The suprises in their set for me was Slaughtered and 25 Years, never heard either on of those live before. The really got their Sh*t together for this tour and put on one hell of a show. Glad to see more Pantera fans around! |

I've seen them six times too. Last time was in Philly in June (Slayer kicked ass too). But last year at Ozzfest, they were good, but Phil was totally f*cked up to the point where he couldn't even sing at times. |
