from our good friend Paul at Chronological Crue:

Breaking News from the pages of Chronological Crue:

25/10/01
In Argentina for solo concerts over the next two
nights, Vince Neil holds a press conference at the
Intercontinental Hotel in Buenos Aires, where he is
staying. He is then interviewed on Much Music
Argentina and asked what happened with Motley Crue. As
an exclusive for the Argentinean fans, Vince says he
will begin writing new songs with Nikki and Mick next
March for a new studio album to be recorded with Tommy
Lee. After a Christmas 2002 album release, the
original re-united band is planning to head out on a
world tour early in 2003.

OH NO!

Does that mean the "mighty" Method Of Mayhem is no longer????

Well, at least the original four are back together - that's the only lineup that's ever worked for them. Now let's see what the new stuff sounds like - hopefully a return to "Too Fast For Love" or "Shout At The Devil" form.

Who cares? The Crüe are overrated. I must admit that I like Live Wire and Red Hot, but that's pretty much all.

That's what a "?" means in the thread subject.

But, I'm not sure if Nikki would say anything on it at this point any way. We'll have to wait and see.

If that quote from Vince is 100% then the detail of the recordings and touring sounds like it may have been an unintended slip to the press. The only way to get the real scoop on what was quoted to the writer is from Vince himself.

HardRocker,

There was no "?" in the thread at all - until I just put one there!
There was a thumbs-up, which either means OK or "It's a GO", like when pilots give each other the thumbs-up. I've seen Top Gun!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh.....THAT "?", as in "Tommy Lee back in Motley?"

...there still was a thumbs-up, though...

Here's the latest from Chronological Crue:

Nikki Sixx later responds by saying there's no truth to it and nobody has agreed or even had talks about it yet. He says he is busy writing songs with no destination in mind. Recall that Nikki previously claimed he had no idea what Vince was talking about back on 10th July 1996, when Vince said on Canadian TV that he's been talking with Nikki about an album and a tour. It was not until the end of that November that the picture became clearer, leading up to the band's reunion at the American Music Awards another two months later.
