It's a shame Arch Enemy didn't get someone who could sing. The music on that disc is awesome, but Angela's vox are horrible.

Yes, she is undeniably, a three-x foxxx. I ain't got enough schwings to describe how schwing-worthy she is.
As for her voice, well, for my money, 80% of the difference between good grind vox and bad grind vox is personality. If I can, unconsciously, create a mental picture around a singer's voice and suddenly find myself thinking of what he (or in this case, she) sounds like, then that's what does it for me most of the time. Anders Frieden, for example, sounds like a juy jumping around screaming 'cuz his ass is on fire. But if I have to actually work at thinking about what the voice sounds like, then, that voice just hasn't got "it".
In Gossow's case, she did that for me after I'd just listened to this disc twice. She sounds like a wounded animal, caught in a bear trap, trying to chew through its own leg. Cooooool.
Musically, though, I'm not quite as sold on this disc. The first song is awesome, the "last" song (not counting the bonus track) is awesome, but the stuff in between, hard to say yet, but it's not blowing me away. |

Well, there's no arguing that she's better looking than their previous singer. And it's certainly impressive for a woman to be able to conjur up that much rage. But I just ca't get into her vox.

Too beautiful!!! That is a great analogy, ALSO that is totally the way I envision most DeathVoxSlingers! I conjour up some image of torment or rage that depicts the mood being displayed. I guess I am tryin to justify why in the living H*ll my ears seem to like the contradiction in singing styles...Acid Bath, a chemically enhanced (gas sniffer) junkier hissing arguments through the back of a large Fan. Soilwork, a derranged caveman swingin his club as he chases a scared antelope... |

I guess us MALEs kinda always knew deep down they had it in em. Seems women always figure ways to do things just as good or better than us men!

I can go on all day about these. |

Not really. To be honest, I don't expect much. Tate's voice is shot, and his song writing isn't much better these days.
