Be sure to report back.
I'm going to check it out regardless of the concensus. However, it won't be for a couple of weeks because I still have a stack I need to get through before I get some more. Anyway, be sure to let us know what you think. |

Its good. Its really good! Its Holy Diver Rainbow Man (!) good. All the Fools didn't Sail Away on this one
It felt like 1984 again!
It has officially knocked Blind Guardian's Night at the Opera cd from #2 to #3 on my top 5 of 2002. |

I've had it on a promo for a couple of weeks and will say this: Excellent!
I liked Magica, but it was a little high on "plod factor". KILLING... is equipped with a pair of testicles, some killer choruses, nice "retro" guitar sound and a first-class performance from Ronnie. Damn, he sounds as good as he did on RAINBOW RISING.
I'll play this one the next time I hear the "too old for metal" argument from some Slipnot/Korn loving 10-year-old punk.
Top tracks: Along Came A Spider, Killing The Dragon, Rock And Roll (Can't believe he actually used that title!!). |

Guys, I've just listened to the whole album, and all I can say is...I've got a Metal1!
This is the best sounding music I've heard from Dio since Dream Evil. Its more aggressive, more to the point, and most of all, its catchy as all Hell!
With all reapect to Magica, Dio really brought back the Magic on this album!
God damn am I pumped up...new Halford coming, new Manowar, and new Dio virtually at once! Lets ****ing party people, its time to kick some ass!!
BTW; even the song "Rock and Roll" is great! I expected it to be kind of a cheesy song considering the title, but it is an instant classic!
I have to calm down, I'm bouncing around my padded cell here!!! |

Bump indeed. Last week was cool for music with the Star One and Cage 2 also arriving. This week there will be no new music Check out The Cage 2 if you are in the mood for quality Euro rock with strong memorable melodies and riffs. |
