What would be your #1 CD of 2002, if you had to vote right now? If possible, try to list just one.

For me its still
Tad Morose Matters of the Dark
Ive listened to it more then any other cd, and it gets played 1 thru 11, then stays in for a second turn.
And they put on the best live show ive seen all year. (although that doesent have much to do with the cd,but the songs they played off of Matters were perfect)
a close close close runner up (sorry have to do it) Dream Evil's Dragon Slayer
And for the record, i thought 2000 and 2001 were very good years for metal, however ive never EVER in my 20 + years as a metalhead seen a year with so many HIGH quality metal releases as 2002, my top 10 at the end of the year is gonna be extremly difficult to pick. |

_A Night At The Opera_ held the top spot for some time, but I think _Sons Of Northern Darkness_ has crept ahead with more listens. |

BLAZE: TENTH DIMENSION
I have 2002 cds by In Flames, Maiden, Dark Tranquility, Vanderhoof, Dio, Nile, Star One, Blind Guardian, Halford, Freedom Call, Dream Evil, Avantasia and a few more and nothing has come close to it.
Who knows maybe the new Opeth, Shadows Fall or Nevermore will replace the Tenth Dimension as my #1. Unlikely but it could happen |

Glad to see Dream Evil is making the lists. I read somewhere that they have already started on their sophomore rlease due in 2003. My fave tracks are The Chosen Ones, Chasing the Dragon and Heavy Metal In The Night. |
