The Crucible is the best I've heard so far out of Motorhead, Speeddealer, Soilwork and maybe a few others. I haven't heard In Flames or Opeth yet though, so those could upturn Halford quite possibly. I also haven't heard any Blaze album and the Tenth Dimension should come in any day now, then we shall see.

@ PaulEMoz: that should have been my number one, but ANATO hit me so hard, that so far I'm still hooked into it.

By 12/31, things may change for the final top-ten, Shaman, Halford, Dream Evil, Planet X, Joe Satriani, Angra, Nightwish, Steel Prophet and Riot are fighting hard for their positions. And I hadn't received yet my copies of "Avantasia II", "Attack", "Comalies", "Crimson Thunder" and "Seventh Coming", which I'm sure I'm going to be hard contenders.

I thought that a few guys around here would really consider that band the top of this year anyway.

Soilworks Natural Born Chaos has not fallen out of rotation since it's release.I love this album! A perfect blend of melody and brutallity.I think only Nevermore has a chance to steal the top spot for me this year.
