I heard their first two albums and I didn't like them at all. After that I lost all interest in the band. Although I have Luca Turilli's solo albums, mainly because of the band that supports him, because the music is like Rhapsody, the worst aspect of power metal to my taste. |

I have Rain Of A Thousand Flames. It's ok. They're a little too "cinematic" for my tastes though. |

I'm listening to Power of the Dragonflame as I type. Rhapsody is one of my favorite bands. The song writing is superb. Luca Turilli is a genius IMHO. I love neo-classical shred. That's all his leads are. Sweet. The huge choir choruses I dig also. I really can't think of anything about Rhapsody I don't like. They get a lot of play time in my disc player. Along with Iced Earth and Blind Guardian.
I guess it's just me, but straight power chords and pentatonics bored the s.hit out of me. I just need a little more to my music. |

If you like _Dawn Of Victory_, then _Power Of The Dragonflame_ and _Rain Of A Thousand Flames_ should be right up your alley...the first two albums are also excellent for the style, though of course not for everybody.
I'd watch out when it comes to Luca Turilli's solo albums, though... |

I do enjoy the first and second albums way more than there Dawn and Dragonflame. the reason is that the first two had less of the epic production than the latter.
Their first album is my favorite of theirs. |

I like Dawn of Victory as well. I picked it up used for $5.00 without ever hearing them.
The photo of the band with the dude in the troll costume made it worth the $5.00 risk.
I have meant to pick up some of their other stuff but haven't yet. |

I have the first album- Legendary Tales. It's a pretty good album though it's pretty fruity with the lyrics and some of the musical themes. Like Daronas said though, the neoclassical guitar stuff is pretty cool and the keyboards, when not embarassingly cheesy, are playing some cool melodies.
Downside is I can only listen to so much powermetal before my head is about to explode from the cheesiness. To those never bothered by such things though, this is probably a real winner. |
