METALLICA will team up with LINKIN PARK and LIMP BIZKIT for a U.S. stadium tour this summer, according to LINKIN PARK DJ Joe Hahn. "Once we hit the summer we're going to do a stadium tour with METALLICA and LIMP BIZKIT," Hahn told Launch. "We're excited about [doing] all those [different kinds of] shows because there's different levels of intimacy. You know, the smaller ones being more intimate, but when you get the bigger shows it gets crazier so, it's a trade-off." Spokespersons for both METALLICA and LIMP BIZKIT couldn't comment on the tour, and no kick-off date or itinerary has yet been announced.

What? Didn't we know this was coming??? This comes as no suprise to me. I, like most of us had this little tiny hope left that maybe, just perhaps, Met would come back with a 8 song disc that clocked in at 75 min. full of epic Metal crusades. But like Lars said that would be going "backwards". If that were me I'd much rather write pop songs and tour with the ALLMIGHTY BIZKIT too!!!

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....so much for Ulrich's claim of a return to the "Metal Crunch"!
Maybe they feel that they have to tour with two of the worst bands ever in order to sound good by comparison?
This is hilarious - and typical of the spiraling career of the once-mighty Metallica.

How do they play a free concert in the Raider parking lot of the AFC Championship and then go out on tour with the likes of these? Yuck. Not that they deserve any respect these days, but come on, another stadium tour. How bout putting out a decent album and doing a regular tour with some up and coming band. U know, like Ozzy did with you guys. Pathetic.
