Some bands are now on their second trip through re-issue treatment. The list is shrinking every year, but which '70s-'80s groups are still stuck with old CD issues that could benefit from improved sound, restored artwork, any bonus tracks to be had, etc.
I can think of:
- Dio
- Whitesnake
- Blue Oyster Cult from '77 on
- Ted Nugent's 1978-81 albums
- Def Leppard
- Alice Cooper (only B$B and Welcome To My Nightmare have been done so far I think)
- Cheap Trick from '79 on
- April Wine |

Definitely those BOC's - I don't generally go in for re-masters if I already have the album on CD, but these have been worth it so far. |

Goddess Of Desire have to be remastered, yeah indeed that is the band most deserving of it. |

Scorpion's 70s albums need to be released more readily in the US. I already have all of them except for In Trance, but they should be more available.
Saxon definitely needs rereleasing/remastering of pretty much everything in their catalog. I only see greatest hits and Solid Ball of Rock in stores. It's a trajedy. Wheels of Steel doesn't even get distributed everywhere and it's a metal masterpiece. But Denim and Leather, Strong Arm of the Law, Power and the Glory, S/T, and any of their others could use rereleasing/remastering as well.
I don't believe Slayer's first album has been remastered. And I don't see Hell Awaits around, so maybe it needs to be released again as well. |

Scorps Uli stuff was recently released on Hip-O records (Taken By Force and Tokyo Tapes, as well as the Schenker one, Lonesome Crow). Axekiller in France also did a 2cd set that includes In Trance, Virgin Killer, and Fly To The Rainbow complete. The SAXONs have been done piecemeal - Denim And Leather, paired with Strong Arm, was done on the French Axekiller label, and Wheels Of Steel was done with Strong Arm on a 2cd EMI release a few years ago. The S/T first one was done by EMI/CLassic Rock with liner notes a few years ago as well, and Power And The Glory has actually been done TWICE (French Axekiller in a slipcase, and a Classic Rock/EMI issue).
First Slayer was done, but quite a few years ago, by Metal Blade (Remastering technology has vastly improved since then, so this could use an upgrade). |

Most of the Saxon ones have been remastered...just that they're imports. Axe Killer from France has released most of them with bonus cuts. Dio has also been remastered, but only in Japan.
I think these need remastering.
Def Leppard
Dokken
TNT
Krokus
