Faster Pussycat - Bathroom Wall (Just cannot understand how this band was popular. They are not
very good at all. One good song, "House of Pain," and that was it)
http://www.fasterpussycat.com
Riot - Restless Breed (Live) (I actually enjoyed this song. I never listened to the band when they were
active, but this was pretty interesting.)
http://www.grndzero.com/riot.htm
Dio - Holy Diver (Great song, incredibly lameass video. How does a guy so great musically allow himself
to be put in situations like this?)
http://www.ronniejamesdio.com
Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills (Couldn't hear the vocals, you'd think they would get on the stick and fix
the audio track on this song.)
http://www.ironmaiden.com
Celtic Frost - Cherry Orchards (Never listened to this band, but this was a bad song. It sounded bad,
and the band really didn't sound committed to the song.)
http://www.celticfrost.com
Ozzy Osbourne - Shot in the Dark (This was the first video I ever saw from Ozzy. Still love the song
and the video)
http://www.ozzy.com
Fastway - All Fired Up (I heard this song once before on MM I think, but I just can't get into it at all.
Kix - Cool Kids (This is the second time in a row that I've seen a Kix video that just made me writhe in
agony. I like the harder rocking sound of Kix, not this excessively poppy sound.)
http://www.chuckjoiner.co m/kix/kix.html
Hanoi Rocks - Up Around the Bend (Never cared for this band, and this is the first of four cover songs
to end the program. I just don't think it's very good.)
http://www.hanoi-rocks.net
Rough Cutt - Piece of My Heart (I thought Faith Hill's cover of this song was bad, but I found this version
to be even worse.)
Voivod - Astronomy Divine (They got a lot of attention for this song, and it's good, but I really never got
into this band all that much.)
http://www.voivod.com
White Lion - Radar Love (Gawd this was terrible. Some covers are just so bad you wonder who gave
the approval to put the song on the album. Meet Example #1)

You probably never heard it, but Faster Pussycat did have one really good song (off the same CD as House of Pain) called Where There's a Whip There's a Way. That was a great song, it really had that great old Aerosmith feel that Faster Pussycat went for but generally missed. That was about all I liked from that band, although I do believe I have their first 3 CDs somewhere in my collection.
White Lion was a very good band, IMO. But you are right, that cover of Radar Love was beyond awful. |

Tom G.'s voice never was meant for something as standard as "Cherry Orchards". I prefer the tone-dead sounds of Morbid Tales and Emperor's Return, where his vocals matched the oddity of the music.
How Fastway could hear the music track playing back to do the video, with drag cars blasting by, is something I would like to hear about.
Rough Cutt had the misfortune of opening for Accept, and the Accept fans had no time for those guys. They booed and threw stuff at them and they ended their set early. I felt bad for they probably had some fans in the audience, but someone shouldn't have made that double bill in the first place. |

Cherry Orchards is a cool song. I don't know why people bash that era of CF. They were real trendsetters back then. |

Not that it matters, but since you put the (sp?) up, you got the name right, there's just an 'h" at the end. |

And, by the way, Faster Pussycat was the 2nd worst band I've ever seen live.
The worst, by far, was the Smashing Pumpkins. They SUCKED HARD! (I saw them open for KISS on Halloween in 1998, and they were clueless. Truly horrible.) |

You know, I was watching this show, and had a great laugh when the Holy Diver video came on. I was thinking it must be the worst video ever, with Ronnie running round in his rags (!), swinging his sword about. Hilarious stuff.
But, I'd forgotten about one other video, and wouldn't you know it, they played it for the first time in ages. Rough Cutt's Piece Of My Heart is surely the funniest video of all time. I just about piss myself laughing every time I see it. I mean, I think the song is bad, but the video is comedy gold. |

And back in the day, Rough Cutt was hyped as the next big band. I didn't get it then, but I can tolerate them now simply because Paul Shortino has a cool voice.
I'll bet Amir Derak (sp?) could crawl under a table with his nu-metal buddies around when that video comes on! |
