I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my frustrations with this current brand of music called Nu-Metal. Now I know that everyone has a choice of what to like and what not to, but this stuff is not worthy of the metal moniker. I yearn for respectable metal to be a little more mainstream. Perhaps more bands would emerge and become more easily accessed. Where are the maidens and priests of yesterday. These Nu-Metal bands dont even have solos. How did this stuff get so popular? I listen to good, qualtity metal now, but in my opinion there is only a handful of bands worthy. I just wish that there was a group of bands out their that would rejuvinate metal. |

I share your frustrations. It seems like quality does suffer when you look at what is popular. The good news is that I think I have your solution. Gay Metal provides listeners with Metal that is powerful, respectable and epic. Bands like Swordfest, Cock Army and Manpussy are giving a fresh breath of life into Metal. These guys are some of the best musicians as well as innovaters. Give this music a chance and I think that you will be discovering the joys of Metal all over again. |

What? Gay Metal? Thanks, but no thanks. I have nothing against gays, but seriously I cant see a bunch a gay guys playing serious metal. I know that Rob Halford is gay and everything, but he is one thing, what is up with those names anyway? |

Alright, where can I hear these invigorating innovators (if they really exist)? Any songs or sites? And please spare me the links to gay porn sites. |

Because is what pop listeners want, real metalheads keep their music for themselves not for the radio and MTV. I like my music elite not for all out there to hear. I'll puke to death, the day I see little girls dress like Shitney Smears, and singing Iron Maiden tunes while dancing.
And as for rejuvinate metal, who said metal is getting old. I like bands who still playing like they use to in the 80's, so I like modern power metal bands who owe a lot to NWOBHM. And be careful with the rejuvenation, look what Judas Priest did on "Demolition", "Jugulator" was kind of fresh, but let be careful not to fall into trendy or pop music, just to get off the old wagon. I like "Master Of Puppets" not "Load", I like "Painkiller" (that was fresh!), not "Demolition", I like "Brave New World" not "Virtual XI".
Just turn your eyes into Europe and South America, there are hundreds of bands carrying the true metal banner, Nu-metal is more a USA phenomena.

They do exist and in strong numbers. I am encouraged that you are expressing interest in checking out this extraordinary powerful music. These bands can be found on ebay or cdnow or just by typing them in on any search engine. As you will soon realize these bands give metal a good screw in the ass. Who knows, perhaps listening to these groups will peak your interest in exploring other avenues of sexuality. |

I didnt mean to say that I thought metal was getting old. Sorry if it came out like that. I do agree with you. I would peak too if I saw the same group that loves Adema and Korn singing along to Iron Maiden.
I am just frustrated at that kind of music. |

Nope. No matter how many times I type it, those words just don't look right together. |
