I think that a lot of things weren't explained well. I think that's why Lucas gets critized for not being able to write a good story. My question is, is that what's the story with the future "stormtroopers". First it seems like their bad/evil, then their helping the Republican cause, then the Supreme Chancellor is overseeing them go where? Who ordered them to exist? |

Cypher D.S. - and the D.S. likely stands for Darth Sideous.
As for why the systems are seceding, I don't think specific reasons are relevant; by the end of the movie, it's (inevitably) clear that they're seceding because the badguys convinced them to. Any more specific reasons than that would probably be as numerous as there are star systems.
I think Lucas is mostly all right with stories, though his ideas to seem to need some refinement. It's actual dialogue which is his real problem. |
