Can it damage a CD to leave it in your car in freezing temperatures? It's getting to be that time of year.

I once froze my sister's Third Eye Blind CD in a big block of ice to get to to stop playing that ****ing song. Still worked afterward.

I don't think low winter temperatures can damage a CD...unless you pour boiling water on it afterward.

I've left discs in cars before when it was god-awful cold outside. Never had a problem with them afterwards.

Normal freezing temperatures (even below - 40 C) won't damage a CD, now if you put them in liquid nitrogen...

Heat on the other hand, very bad business.

actually i've had cold made the cd unplayable, dead silence, until it warmed up.
