|
|
Remember, only "3" bands per decade allowed. And just to keep it interesting, let's eliminate the Beatles and Rolling Stones as 60's candidates. We all know they are the essential picks of that era anyway,so let's just assume they are already included....an honorary inclusion,if you will. This gives other deseving bands a chance to make our lists.OK? Fair enough.....here goes.
60's --- Jimi Hendrix Experience/Grand Funk Railroad/CCR
70's --- Led Zeppelin/Aerosmith/Deep Purple
80's --- Van Halen/ Tesla/Guns and Roses
90's --- Soundgarden/Alice and Chains/Stone Temple Pilots |

80s:W.A.S.P, RUNNING WILD, SAXON(even if they started in the 70s).
90s:HAMMERFALL, OCTOBER 31, CUSTARD
This is today. |

Sorry but i dont think CHEAP TRICK are under-rated. They got the fame they deserved. They were famous but not to much because they didnt made always great albums. I think they were more a songs band then albums band. I love many songs like for exemple SURRENDER, I WANT YOU TO WANT ME, THE FLAME or DREAM POLICE but never a complete album. This is just my opinion and i respect yours of course. Take care. |

A reply to Krokus regarding Cheap Trick. I love that band but I always respect a difference in opinion, particularly one as classy as yours was. The '70s produced solid albums for the band, and maybe one or two in the '80s. Most people do only recognize their singles as they did and still do garner their share of radio airplay. Albums like Heaven Tonight, Dream Police and Self Titled will blow away much hard rock (not metal) competition. Krokus, that was a cool exchange of ideas. Stay cool! |
