There's always some band I never seem to be able to find info on. So, I figured why not make a thread about it.

I'll start with a couple simple ones. Manowar and Savatage.

Manowar: Nothing on their website. Nothing! Are they coming out with a new album in my lifetime, or did they hang it up?

Savatage: What's up there? I know Jon Oliva is doing some solo stuff, along with Chris Caffery...then you've got TSO and all that fun stuff...are they ever coming out with a new Savatage album? I'm also assuming Damond is still there, but I've seen squat on the website.

If you are wondering where a band is, why not just ask on here? I'm sure someone on here has the answer...

[Edit] Forgot to stick the word "Thread" in the title...doh! [/edit]

Here's one: What the hell ever happened to that cool British band called Def Leppard? They had this wicked killer album back in 1982 call High 'n' Dry and then........nothing!

I guess there was this band posing under the same name, but they played candy-assed pop fluff and ballads.

If anyone has any information about those guys, I'd love to hear about it.

Speaking of Savatage.I just opened up Masterplans's E.P.Back For My Life and inside is a label promo with various bands. One of them being Circle II Circle. There's a picture of Zak Stevens with Jon Oliva and I had to do a double take.
Jon Oliva is fukking huge! I mean morbidly obese. He looks more like Jon Popper from Blues Traveller at his hugest.
Now I know the guy has always been heavy. But I've never seen him like this. How long has he been that big?
Does he still perform or just write and produce? Or does he hide behind a piano?Such a talented guy.I hate to see him so out of control. After all he suffered a very similar fate as Vinnie Paul did recently. He lost his brother & band mate Chris Oliva awhile back. That's gotta fukk with you in every way.Physical, emotional and spiritual.
Hope he gets healthy and releases a killer Savatage record soon.

I don't remember where I read it, but Jon Oliva stated that there would probably be a Savatage album out sometime in 2007! It may be a reunion album. For now he's taking the financially viable route with Transiberian Orchestra, and working on his solo album. I guess the guys want to make money off TSO and do side projects for now. Kindof sucks cause I think they are still capable of coming out with pretty decent stuff as a group.

Joey Belladonna is on tour right now- I think he has a solo album out.

I'd like to know what ever happened to the Diamond Head reunion and album. I mostly just want to see them on tour.

Also when are Testament, Overkill, Vio-Lence, Nuclear Assault, and Slayer coming out with new ones?

I'd like to know if Peccatum will tour the United States.
