Well, when we speak of meaningful lyrics I don't think Dio should make the list. His words are border line nonsense. Anyway, JP lyrics are far better in past releases than AOR with the exception of Angel and Worth Fighting For. I don't mean all of the songs of the past either. You can quote all the cheesy lyrics from the past that you want and I will still believe that the song writing was better then than it is now. Don't get me wrong. I like the album and am very happy that the mighty Priest is back in full swing. I just wish it was a tad better in the song writing dept. |

Have you guys ever listened to 70's Priest? The lyrics are amazing and quite meaningful. 80's and beyond is a different story.
In fact my favorite vocal line ever is from Dreamer Deceiver:
"Asked us if we were happy, we said we didn't know" |

Well I just watched the DVD for the first time, nothing spectacular IMO. My only beef with it is that they cut off every song in the middle or near the end so they could continue with the interview. I don't see why they couldn't have just let every song play to the end.
Having said that, I can't wait to see them live again!! |

Thanks. I don't think it sucks either. Jake, a few posts up, thinks it does though. Turbo on the other hand....well, I won't go there...
Dorf- The DVD gives you the option of just playing the live tracks sans the interview segments if you didn't know all ready. I like the DVD and hope to see them when they grace the shores of the US this year |

Yo Myk,
U got the dual disc too, right? I have it, and the DVD side doesn't give me the option of interview or no interview. That sucks!! |

Dorf- I have the dual disc...Off the top of my head I think at the menu screen there should be a choice that says "play tracks" and another menu comes up for each individual song or "play all". After I watched it initially I was annoyed that the songs were not played in full so I chose the options above and got my fix fulfilled that way. Hope this helps. |
