So I was sitting around, watching the rescue helicopters flying over my house and waiting for my water to boil, and found myself wondering what was happening with Chris Cornell lately. Soon after, I turned on VH1...and there was Chris Cornell in the video for his new single, "She Can't Change Me." Being a Soundgarden aficionada, I was glad to see ol' Chris in the spotlight again. I was also pleasantly surprised by the song itself...though not as heavy as Soundgarden's stuff, it's definitely rock, has good lyrics and a rather dark quality. It rather reminded me of "Paint It Black" by the Black Crowes because of the guitar part and the mood it sets. So now I'm wondering if anyone else has heard the song; if so, what's your verdict?

I bought his solo CD today and it is great I think. It is not heavy and its nothing like Soundgarden, but that doesn't matter. This is an album where you have to listen to a few times to get into, but once you do get into it, it's great. |

I haven't heard it, but wondered if it was more like the "Temple Of The Dog" cd? I like that cd better than Soundgarden or Pearl Jam! |

I've heard "She Can't Change Me". It sounds pretty cool to me, kind of Beatles'ish. Have any of you people ever heard of Mother Love Bone???? A.Wood -R.I.P.( should have been huge). |

I've heard the song a couple of times and I still can't get into it. Is everybody trying to hop on the Metallica/Megadeth band wagon?
Freeride,
Yeah I remember MLB. I was never a fan of grunge, but they weren't to bad.

Mother Love Bone was one of the best things ever to come out of Seattle. "Apple" is pure brilliance. Definitely the poster children for "shoulda/coulda been huge."
I'm not quite sure why anyone ever thinks it's a good idea to try heroin. "Gee, look at all the great people it's killed or destroyed. That looks like fun!! Gimmee some!!" RIP Anrdew Wood. |

Yes, but the only version I've heard of that song is the version on the _Devil's Advocate_ soundtrack, which I think is a cover done by the Black Crowes. I could be wrong, though.
