Hello people...whats new..

I picked up the Glen Tipton solo cd the other day and there are some very good tracks on it. Very please for a used purchase..recommend picking it up if you can find it used.

Anyone have any off the wall recommendations or any good finds lately?

I don't know what you're into really, but Solarized has a new cd out and they rock! You can check them out (and a lot of other great bands) at http://www.stonerrock.com/mp3/[/ur l]
Thumblock, Sea of Green & Hangnail are really good too. Hell, most of them kick ass! Stay away from Thor's Hammer unless you like non-english death metal.

Very'eavy-if you're out there, check out the above link. If you liked Sunnshine you will probably dig alot of these Mp3's too. They add a new one every day.

Peace.

Hellchild is one band that has really knocked me off my a.ss lately. A Japanese death metal band LOADED with groove and even some sickly melodies. Find em at www.howlingbull.com

Has anybody heard the band The Quill yet?
I honestly believe this is a band a lot of you hardboarders will like. You should check them out at http://www.meteorcity.com . You can download a couple of their mp3s there.

While you're there, check out the Iron Maiden tribute cd-Slave to the Power. I like it, but I'm thinking that one will probably not go over as well.

I recently picked up Jeff Buckley's "Grace" (R.I.P.). It sounds like what would happen if Freddy Mercury and Jimmmy Page teamed up to play heavy stoner-folk-rock. It's like Queen meets Zeppelin meets Kyuss meets Dylan. Highly recomended.

The Quill is from Sweden, naturally. All Hail Sweden! I didn't know that when I posted the above message, I swear!! Anyway, no Brians in the band. The singer sounds alot like the dude from Witchfinder General and/or somebody hair metal that I can't place. I really don't know anything about them yet. I just heard the mp3 and knew right away some people here would really dig them.

Isn't this where you come in Metalfilm?

I was sure i heard of this band Quill and so i looked at diamondhead's site where it is indeed "Quill" but not "The Quill". Quill is some other kind of music too dont know what.
