I'm kind of skeptical about Halford's about-face on the whole metal issue. He really doesn't deserve my money anymore (because of that stupid Rage Against the Machine observation, for one), but I'll be buying his album anyway, because just about nobody sings metal better than he does.

Templar:
Motivation notwithstanding, "Resurrection" is an excellent album and probably the best thing Halford has done since "Screaming for Vengeance" or at least "Defenders of the Faith." |

Cane sucks (met the prick).
Rage Against the Machine rules.
Let the produce-tossing begin. |

DTFM:
Thanks. You've only reinforced my determination to buy the album. The one song I've heard ("Silent Scream," is it?) alone is worth the price of the whole CD. Even if he's insincere, Halford can ACT more sincerely than anybody else out there. I've seen lots of bands/performers live in my time, but Judas Priest/Rob Halford are still the best, in my book. (Had I been fortunate enough to se Thin Lizzy when Phil was alive, maybe I'd change that opinion, but I never did, so there). |

Great disc, but "drive" is the worst song on the disc.Music is cool, but the lyrics are too cheesy.just can't listen to it.Overall the disc rips. |

OK, you guys have done it. I'm going to order the new Halford disk based on your comments about it here. (Lick me Lars, the internet sells CDs.) So if it sucks, you'll be hearing from me.
Other things on order/on the way that I've never heard but have read positive comments about here and decided to chance:
Iced Earth - Alive in Athens
Bruce Dickinson - Chemical Wedding
Izzy Stradlin - his first album |

Rock Show is ok, Cane is kinda weak, but at least it is something. Now only if they showed it at a time when I could watch...
N-B - You don't have Chemical Wedding???? You should be shot! You will not be disappointed. All hail Roy Z! The best damn producer in the biz, and not a bad guitarist either. You will enjoy Alive in Athens as well..
still havent picked up Resurrection, will getting it this week.. |
