FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TESLA ANNOUNCES SECOND LEG OF HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED
2001 REUNION TOUR

It's obvious that lovers of pure rock 'n' roll never wanted Tesla to go away
because many dates on the first leg of the band's 2001 reunion tour sold out
well in advance. It's certain that shows on this newly announced second leg
will, too. The routing of this second leg will take the full, original Tesla
lineup to the Midwest and East Coast from late March through early April.

The Sacramento, CA-based quintet -- vocalist Jeff Keith, guitarists Frank
Hannon and Tommy Skeoch, bass guitarist Brian Wheat and drummer Troy
Luccketta -- played their first reunion show before a sold-out hometown crowd
at the Arco Arena on October 25, 2000. Special guests included 3 Doors Down
and Oleander. Three more highly successful shows in California and Nevada
were performed in December 2000.

Tesla broke up in April 1996 after selling more than 14 million records
worldwide. The band had four consecutive platinum albums, two gold albums and
two Top 10 singles, "Love Song" and "Signs." The former was a gold single and
the latter was a cover of the 1971 Five Man Electrical Band hit. "Signs"
appears on the 1990 live album Five Man Acoustical Jam, a pun on the song
originators' name. This album foreshadowed the "unplugged," acoustic-music
craze.

The band -- named for Nikola Tesla, an electrical engineer, radio pioneer and
inventor of the first practical system of generating and transmitting
alternating current (AC) for electric power -- exploded onto the music scene
with 1986's Mechanical Resonance and the hits "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Little
Suzi." 1989's The Great Radio Controversy yielded the ballad "Love Song," the
blistering rocker "Heaven's Trail (No Way Out)" and "The Way It Is." Tesla
followed Five Man Acoustical Jam with 1991's Psychotic Supper (featuring
"What You Give" and "Song & Emotion") and 1994's Bust A Nut. The band's
career on Geffen Records is outlined on the 1995 "greatest hits" album Time's
Makin' Changes: The Best Of Tesla. And Tesla's catalog of hits still receives
consistent U.S. airplay.

It's unfortunate that the timing of Tesla's mid- to late-'80s heyday
coincided with the "hair metal" movement, because Tesla looked and sounded
different from their so-called, glam-oriented "peers." The band didn't have a
hairspray-and-makeup image. Instead, they were regular "blue jeans and
guitars" kind of guys. Musically, Tesla excelled in gritty, blues-based hard
rock -- the music of their roots.

The members of Tesla are also discussing recording a new live album or
possibly a covers album. If all goes well, a new studio album could be in the
works.

The second set of shows on the tour includes:
