mikel,

I listened to Breakdown and I liked it. Kind of a Pantera feel to it ( is that a Texas thing? ), and a nice groove as well. That's more along the lines of what I like.

Never mind the 80s boy - if he doesn't like it, that's usually an indication that you're on the right track!

I just checked out Breakdown myself and i thought it was weak.

Riff repeated a thousand times and totally done before. I can name a thousand bands doin exactly the same thing - and doing it better.

Nope - tell your guys to listen to Symphony X , Nevermore , Iced Earth , Pain of Salvation and Angra and then write something with feel and melody.

NOT impressed - and yeh it's my GODDAMN OPINION.

I checked out "Breakdown" and it's way better than the first tune, even though I must say it's not very original. Like Lars said it sounds very Pantera-oriented. I'm not too much into the brutal side of the vocals, sounds better and more original when he (you?) sings clean. Really good solo on this one! Shows your guitarist has control (way better than the live-track). The song is OK, starts out good, but it's a bit too repetitive in the long run. A tempo-change or at least a bridge or different part thrown in wouldn't hurt.

3# - My original music DESTROYS this particular song.

#1 You to narrowly define metal PMS. So you have no proof I was wrong except what goes on in your own little mind.

#2 Sure if you want me to ask them fine. But TT and Ronny both know I lean more toward the agressive metal and not glam rock. I've met them and heard their music and was honest with them about my taste in metal. So just because they like your style doesn't mean I will. And it's hardly proof your better than a second rate hack. It's still all opinion.

However considering I live closer than them I'll take you up on that. Where do you play and what times are the shows? I have a long weekend coming up.

#3 We'll see when I come out there to hear you. It's only a 4 hour drive.

I never claimed it to be the most original thing out there. You really should learn the difference between being critical and hypocritical. I'm sure every bit of your stuff is the most original material written huh?

Now THATS VERY closed-minded Mikel.

I have plenty of music at MP3.com but i'll NEVER reveal its identity to people at THIS board.
