If you are, settle down - BravePilgrim of BW&BK reports:

"Contrary to published reports, and much to the relief of fans everywhere, singer Tarja Turunen will NOT be leaving NIGHTWISH anytime soon. Spinefarm label manager Ewo explains she will "take 2003 off, to concentrate on her (opera) studies in Germania.""

Now, whether you interpret this as good news, or the ol' "We're gonna take some time apart" (which usually ends up being permanent), is up to you.

Well, at this point, I would say that Tarja is Nightwish. So, where ever she goes within the Metal world, she takes the "Nightwish sound" with her. That being said, I find Nightwish to be rather dull. With the exception of te track "She is my Sin", I haven't heard anything from them that peeks my interest. They really need better guitar playing and fiercer drumming to present the dichotomy they need to make that sound work.

i'll have to agree with you zod, other than "she is my sin", which is an incredible track, the rest of "wishmaster" is kind of boring. if they were as memorable for their music as they were for her vocals, they would be a great band.
