The music store I sometimes go to has a lot figures like that...Metallica, KISS, Ozzy, etc...as well as some weird ones like Jesus (as in "Christ") figures and a million Pez dispensers. I do think I saw one Eddie doll there.

Yesterday I was at a Catholic shop in the city, buying a Christmas present for my Grandmother. They had all these figures of Jesus playing sports. Basketball, baseball, soccer, football...like Bo, Jesus apparently knows them all. It seemed strange, but then I thought, why WOULDN'T Jesus be a good athlete?! I mean, if he can walk on water he ought to be a decent shortstop, right? Plus, with his healing abilities, the team wouldn't need an athletic trainer.

That Jesus stuff is pretty funny. I don't know why nobody thought of that one sooner.

I was in the music store yesterday and I noticed not one but at least 6 different Iron Maiden figures/ dolls. Has anyone else here seen the vast array of choices?

I remember about a year or so ago when we were all discussing the McFarlane Killers figurine and how cool it was going to be. Then it came out and opinions were mixed. Since then I think a similar Number of the Beast version and now The Trooper version have come out. I don't own any of these but I think I will purchase The Trooper as it looks the coolest and will make my cubicle here at work look a bit less corporate.

Now, The explosion in these figures/ dolls I've seen recently is out of control. Just last night I saw a huge 18" Eddie doll and even another Number of the Beast doll that actually plays a clip from the song when a button is pushed. Probably the strangest one among the bunch was a small cute looking Powerslave figure (yes, I use the word "cute" because it was the mummy version of Eddie at only about 3 inches tall, very toned down and almost playfull looking. It like it belonged in a lego toy play set). Seeing this was very odd. If any of you have been to the music stores that sell all kinds of dolls and other crap besides cd's, You know what I'm talking about. Many bands like Creed, Limp Biscuit and Korn have been imortalized as small little "cute" action toys. I guess it doesn't take much to become an action figure anymore. In fact I think if the price it right you can pay some company to make one of yourself.

I guess I'm looking to see what you guys and girls think about all of this stuff.

It's Maiden - second only to KISS in superfluous metal marketing.

Very little could surprise me at this point.

Well since there are a lot of bands out now I'm not sure which ones have much control over it, I've seen Cooper, Ozzy, Zombie, Metalica, KISS and a number of others. The ones I remember seeing, and almost own are:

Killers and the Trooper from McFarlane, those are the only two that I know of that are out, don't know if they are getting any more or not.

A Huge Trooper figure from god knows who. (I don't have they want too much)

The little mummy toy.

A bobble head from Piece of Mind.

and the music box, the one that plays NOB. (Don't have it either too much)

I haven't seen any other toys nor do I know of any others. I have however seen a lot more Ozzy stuff then Maiden.
