Raider, I respect your opinion because you stated it in logical terms and not this stupid "Yew kain't do no betturrr so's yer rong" argument that some people like to mis-use. I disagree with your opinion [img]images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img] , but I respect it.
I just don't enjoy Lynyrd Skynyrd. I found some other "Southern Rock" songs that I like ( some Outlaws, some Molly Hatchet, etc. ), but Lynyrd Skynyrd always struck me as the lowest common denominator band of that ilk, and the song this guy quoted did nothing to sway my opinion. |

Golden Earring is great! 'The Vanilla Queen' is one of the best songs ever written, more prog than pop (as many can consider because of the hits of the band). |

BTW, so as not to cloud the issue for dimwits like setvNY, let it be known that I like most Skynyrd. That song, however, is musically hackneyed and lyrically inane. |
