I just got _Damnation_ today...haven't listened yet though. To say that a change of pace is what Opeth needed would be to understate the case to near undetectable levels. |

I had hoped that it would be regular Opeth without death vocals. As such was not the case I was disappointed at first, but now I just don't like the new disc. It really just isn't my thing. I think what grabs me on most Opeth albums are the riffs, and they are included here, so I'm not so interested. I'll still probably listen to this one occasionally. |

I think Damnation is far superior to Deliverance, which I considered to be a disappointing release.
This list changes constantly, but currently I would rank them:
1. Morningrise
2. Still Life
3. Damnation
4. My Arms, Your Hearse
5. Blackwater Park
6. Deliverance
7. Orchid
Now if I could only find Blackwater Park on vinyl... |

This could mean that you've yet to hear "Morningrise" and "My Arms, Your Hearse".

I have My Arms, Your Hearse. It kinda bored me. Same with Deliverance. |

JoeC-
You hit the nail right on the head with everything in your post, including that any true Opeth fan's list will constantly change.
iwarrior,
Really? Boring? "April Ethereal", "Credence", "Demon of the Fall", boring?

My list isn't constantly changing and I consider myself a fairly "true" Opeth fan. The list is set as follows:
1.My Arms your Hearse
2.Orchid
3.Morningrise
4.Still Life
5.Deliverance
6.Blackwater Park
7.Damnation
Sometimes the first three switch off, but the others are fairly far behind. |

Blackwater hasn't been issued on vinyl yet, there are plans for it to come out but no firm date or label yet. Damnation on vinyl is pretty sweet. |

Opeth's site has a vinyl release of Blackwater Park listed on their site. A limited run of 1000 copies on the Music For Nations label (MFN264). There is even a picture of the label for side one on the site. I have all the rest on vinyl, but that Blackwater Park release is harder than hell to find. |
