Well this is the worst ball I've seen listed, but it still didn't totally suck.

For some reason I actually dug the Decapitated song, though I don't like the video.

Cromags didn't belong that was too punky.

I still don't like Black Label Society- and I think the new song is fairly bland.

Motley Crue's Livewire seemed kind of random(I mean most of the time they play new stuff on this show, so what's up with this?)

Opeth's song is one of the better one's from the new album, but I'm still not a big fan. Plus the video was dull.

That's the only stuff I saw. I skipped over a bunch of the bands cause the intros to the songs sucked and when I heard the singers sing/growl I wasn't encouraged any.

Hey,at least they showed some quality metal. Yes nu-metal still dominates, but I've been pleasantly surprised by their playlists. Whoever's involved with putting this show together is at least trying to get the word out on some lesser known bands.

hey, this is the first time i caught it. it wasnt too bad at all really. i forgot it was on until my friend reminded me.

i mean sure, some of the songs sucked ass, but hey its mtv, so what do you expect. but they are playing rock, and it wasnt all numetal stuff either.

you know, if you dont like it, you dont have to watch it.

They've been playing In Flames and Soilwork pretty regularly on the show.

I'm not a huge fan of Black Label Society either, but I love the song.

Like I said about the Motley video, it's pretty much included as the token "regular" metal video of the night.

Thanks for letting us know.

It's called a review, I tell you what I did and did not like, that's how it works.

Here I was thinking it was pretty easy to figure out.

I thought it was an ok Ball. A little more metal than the others.
-I missed Lamb of God and Meshuggah who I can handle, and Metallica who I can do without.
-ATP rocks.
-The Exploited & Cro-Mags are not really my thing. I'm familiar with both and I've heard worse.
-Decapitated rocked. It was nice to see some guitar playing skill. Not great, but pretty good.
-The next four did nothing for me, with Motorgrater being one of the worst I've ever heard in my life.
-I dig the Opeth tune, but not really the "headbanging" kind of song. I'm sure many out there were freaked out about that one, which is too bad because it's a good one.
-Nothing Face...same crap, different band.
-Motley Crue....A classic, but made me want cheese.
-In Flames...I've heard this band mentioned quite often here, didn't sound any different than any other Nu Metal band, pretty much sucked.
-Zakk's the man. I can't name one BLS song I don't dig.
Disturbed is Disturbed. It all sounds the same to me.
-Hate Eternal...I only remember I didn't get into it.
-Mudvayne...they said it was the best song they've ever done, I thought it was boring. I think these guys may have some talent though, as much as I hate to say it.

The Ball has always had crap on it, so all in all, I'd say it was probably the best "new generation" show so far.

Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed hosted the show. There were no in studio guests this week. Next week's
show has Slayer.
http://www.hatebreed.com

Lamb of God - 11th Hour. This was a world premiere video. I have to say that I liked the music, but the
song was ruined for me by the vocals.
http://www.lamb-of-god.com

Meshuggah - Rational Gaze. Sorry to all their fans who may be here, but they suck.
http://www.meshuggah.net

Metallica - St. Anger. Drums suck and ruin an othewise decent song. Find it hard to sympathize with the
statement by the band after the song is over.
http://www.metallica.com

Alabama Thunderpussy - Motor-Ready. The singer has left the band. The song is...well...crap!
http://www.alabamathunderpussy .com

The Exploited - Never Sell Out. I can't say I exactly hated the song, but it doesn't make me want to buy
anything from the band either.
http://hem.passagen .se/strebers/exploited.htm

Cro-Mags - We Gotta Know. Umm... No we don't.
http://www.cromags.com

Decapitated - Spheres of Madness. I had shut the volume off on this one. No decent website links for
this band that I could find.

Adema - Unstable. Nothing to recommend it, but at least it doesn't make me want to vomit like some of
the songs I heard tonight.
http://www.ademaonline.com

Chimaira - Down Again. Some bands you have to wonder if they are paying the Ball to play their vids.
This song has been played almost every single week. It hasn't gotten any better.
http://www.chimaira.com

Eighteen Visions - You Broke Like Glass. Amazing how not even hot lesbian action in the video can
make the song any better.
http://www.eighteenvisions.com[/ur l]

Motograter - Down. Ummm...Guys... The makeup thing? IT'S OVER. It's been over for a long time.
http://www.motograter.com

Opeth - Windowpane. This was a world premiere video. It was okay, but still wouldn't buy anything
from the band.
http://www.opeth.com

Nothingface - Ether. Don't really care for the song, but the vid is kind of cool.
http://www.nothingface.net

Motley Crue - Live Wire. I think when Jamey Jasta was introducing the video, he had to do an Oscar
worthy acting job to not burst out laughing. I'm not a fan of the band, so I could've lived without them
being the one chosen as the regular metal token video.
http://www.motley.com

In Flames - Trigger. While I probably won't be adding the band to my CD collection, I have to say that I
thoroughly enjoy this song.
http://www.inflames.com

Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society - Stillborn. If the ball is going to pick a vid to play every week, instead
of Chimaira, how about this one. The song is killer.
http://www.zakkwylde.com or http://www.blacklabelsociety.net

Disturbed - Liberate. The coolest video of the show. I love this song, and I will be getting the album.
http://www.disturbed1.com

Hate Eternal - Powers That Be. It's bands like this and Decapitated that make me understand how some
people can want to ban metal. This is crap, crapola, shit, shiite, dog poop, and should be a felony
charge for assault on the ears.
http://www.hateeternal.com

Mudvayne - World So Cold. Not a great song, but decent. I like their Not Falling video and song better.
This was the world premiere for the video
http://www.mudvayne.com

Top 5 videos (based on song or vid itself)

1. Disturbed
2. Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society
3. In Flames
4. Metallica
5. Nothingface (based solely on the vid)
