A Day In Danzig-land Page 2
by Martin PopoffFollowing the recent reissues of Black Aria, Blackacidevil, and the Sacrifice EP (the latter two with bonus tracks and new artwork), Glenn's going to continue work on the Samhain boxset. "That should be out in June, and E-Magine has all the elements for that (ed. note: during a second interview two days after this one, Glenn indicated that he is severing ties with E-Magine due to two disputes concerning videos, so expect some delays), maybe some live stuff just before Christmas; we'll see. The live album would be a two disc set covering 1988 all the way up to now. There will be a b-sides collection down the line. I'm currently trying to get all that stuff back."
And what about the second Black Aria? "As soon as I have time to record it, I'll do it. Everybody is asking, are you going to be touring this summer blah blah blah. I have so many things I have to do. We go to Europe. We've already started working on something that's either going to be a long-play EP for Danzig or the next Danzig record, Danzig 7." And what direction is that taking? "More of the same (laughs), a little darker than Satan's Child; a little darker, the guitars are tuned down, I mean, it's pretty heavy. Some of the song titles are 'The Coldest Sun', 'I Know Your Lie', and I know there'll be a cover of David Bowie's 'Cat People' on there."
