By this time most everybody was sick. Pantera's drummer Vinnie Paul was under too, along with Pantera'a guitar tech Grady. Thank goodness I avoided the plague.

After Sacramento we took the long bus ride to the sun and fun capitol of the world, Phoenix, Arizona. Once the bus hit Interstate 10, East through Arizona the rain started coming down. And it rained most of the time til we hit the Valley of the Sun. Phoenix was cool and cloudy with temps under 100 degrees. Phoenix is NEVER under 100 in the summer. The Phoenix show was very comfortable for one and all. And speaking of comfort, Phil was feeling 100 percent better. So much so, Phil worked out before the show for the first time in a week.

I live in Phoenix so I jumped off the tour after the show and stayed here rather than travel to the final gig in San Bernardino, California. Phil had no problem with me leaving early because he does not work out on the last show day of any Pantera tour because he drinks from the time he gets up til the time he goes to bed.

Ozzfest 2000 is over and from my viewpoint it was a complete success. We started in Florida and ended in California. It was a short 2 months of fun, rain and rock n roll!
