by Martin PopoffAre you thinking you might do another one with him someday?
"I don't know. I'm sure they are selling well enough to justify it, otherwise there obviously wouldn't have been the second one. If I was approached to do one, I would do it. Because, as I say, I love to play with great musicians. They really assembled an A-list together on that last one. Having Tim Bogert (VANILLA FUDGE, CACTUS) on it was a definite plus."
Similar to the label's JAKE E LEE record, this band's second album, The Endless Jam Continues, contains hard-driving blues rock classics that together make a unified, earthy classic rock record. Highlights include 'Layla' from DEREK AND THE DOMINOES, 'Rock Steady' from BAD COMPANY, 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' from the BEATLES, and 'Too Rolling Stoned' from Robin Trower.
And speaking of Robin Trower, Pattison, who has "been with Robin on and off for 20 years now," says that "we've just finished up a blues album, which is being mastered, I guess, at the moment. And then I'm going back over to Europe. I've spent three months in Europe already this year, touring with Robin. We did Germany, France, Italy, blah blah blah, a lot of the UK. And then I'm back over there in late October, because this blues album will be ready for release at that point, and then doing a bit more touring, I guess, just before Christmas. I love working with Robin. It's very deep stuff, very soulful and bluesy and it kind of gets me where I live. There's a lot of depth to the music, so I'm attracted to that. We still do the hits; there's no question that we have to do that. Even the hits are bluesy though. I mean, it doesn't get deeper than 'Bridge Of Sighs'. So singing that stuff is very satisfying. I'm really looking forward to this tour. I'm going to go play Glasgow, and I haven't played Glasgow since 1982. So I'm looking forward to playing in my hometown again."
