Guitarist Eddie Ojeda also offered a few comments on putting together this surprise hit of an album. "The quickest and the simplest song was probably the one that sounds like Problem Child, Silver Bells. That came a lot easier. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and Oh Come All Ye Faithful took a lot longer, because it was kind of weird arrangement, and as AJ says, it was closer to We're Not Gonna Take It. But we spent some time on it, making sure each song had a bit of a distinct groove to it. One of them sounds like a Maiden song, another one has an AC/DC vibe, and we tried to put a whole bunch of different bands' vibes into each song, including some of our own stuff. It was a lot of work."
"This idea happened last year - we thought, it would be fun," continues Eddie. "And everyone got excited about it, and it became a reality. At first, you never know with stuff like this. I knew we were making a good album, and it was really cool. But I was also not sure. Like with any album, you can make the greatest album in the world, but if nobody knows about it, or nobody gets it for some reason, it doesn't matter. I've heard tons of unbelievable albums and I don't know why they never got acclaim. So I think it's because it's a new Twisted Sister album - they are calling this our comeback album (laughs) and it's a Christmas album. I guess it's just something different. No other heavy metal band has done something like this. They've done a song, but not an entire album, or it was part of a compilation. Nobody like us did a whole Christmas album, so I think it's kind of a cool little novelty record. That's what's making it take off."
"Everything is going so well," muses Eddie in closing. "We definitely plan to continue. This Christmas thing could become a yearly things for us, for a while, because it's definitely a fun thing to do, and people dig it. That's the thing about a Christmas album - every year it picks up again. So I'm kind of glad, especially for a band like us, who are able to get onboard something like that. Because like AJ says, usually, a lot of the middle of the road artists are the ones whose do a Christmas album - Celine Dion, Elton John, Mariah Carey. But you don't get bands like us. That's what's making it so unique to people. Because you can even give it to people who don't like heavy metal as almost a joke. The guy is an opera fan, and you give him a Twisted Sister album (laughs)."
