VINCE NEIL - "My Crue Days Are Over"
By Martin Popoff

With Vince Neil capably filling the middle slot on tour between Skid Row and Poison, only one member of Motley Crue is out working the crowds. Judging from stuff Vince has been saying (and reiterates in the following chat) looks like that's the way it's going to stay. Here's Vince, beginning with his thoughts on being the one guy shouting out loud the enduring Motley catalog.

"I'm having a great time. I feel more sad for the fans, really that never got a chance to see us, or the fans that would love to see us again. But the other guys just don't seem to want to do anything and I'm the only guy who wants to go out and tour and make records. I don't really understand it myself. I'm very happy doing what I'm doing and I'll be making a new studio album, which should be out early next year and I'll be back out on tour touring that again next summer."

What are the Motley Crue songs that come alive for you in a live situation?

"Girls, Girls, Girls is a great song to sing because everybody sings along; Same Ol' Situation is another crowd favourite and it's fun to play. Feelgood is always a good one, Home Sweet Home. The ones that have the big choruses in them are the most fun to play live because everybody just sings right along with you."

Are you doing anything to keep the voice in shape?
