And where do you think you are now in your spiritual journey?

"In the Bible, King Solomon says, basically the quote he uses is, 'all these things have I've pondered' (laughs). Basically he's saying I've spent a lifetime trying to figure all this out and I'm no further now than when I started (laughs). So there's a lot of that going on. I think basically, what people find, when they look at me or look at this stage shows, they go 'how can this person have been brought up in a strict religious environment?' But if you look at the people who do what we do, most of them have that in common. Whether it's Manson or Alice Cooper, it seems that they all come from a pretty strict background. I mean, my father was Sunday school superintendent, my grandfather was a head deacon at a church and my uncle was a preacher. So it's safe to say that whenever the doors were open, I was there. So I come from a point of view where I have a fair background on what was being said. Where am I now? Boy, I don't know. I know there were some things I had a tough time believing in and that's the reason that I left. And not unlike other people when I left the church, I went as far away from it as I could. I studied the occult for three years. I was pretty heavy into it and I determined that that too was basically another form of organized religion and so that wasn't getting it for me. So basically I started looking for answers on my own. If and when I get there, I'll let you know..."
