Very longtime HardRadio friends METALLICA played the first show of their 2025 M72 Tour Saturday in Syracuse, New York at JMA Wireless Dome. According to Syracuse.com, more than 47,500 fans attended the concert. That breaks the former Carrier Dome's previous all-time attendance record of 47,319, set by The Who in 1982. That also makes Metallica now the largest ticketed music event ever in the history of Syracuse, NY. Metallica was able to pack the Dome thanks to the band's circular stage setup on the Orange football field's 50-yard line. Fans filled the seats around the entire stadium, and thousands more were standing on the floor around the stage and inside the "snake pit."
Longtime HardRadio friend ALICE COOPER reunites with original band members Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, and Neal Smith for the first time in 50 years with The Revenge Of Alice Cooper release. The upcoming album is set for release on July 25th also features work from original guitarist Glen Buxton, who passed away in 1997. It's the group's first collaboration since 1973's Muscle Of Love. The album is described as a high-voltage journey into vintage horror and classic '70s shock rock, packed with the sound, energy, and mischief that made them legendary. It aims to recapture the spirit of his classic albums with electrifying riffs, raw energy, and Cooper's signature storytelling. A special edition will also include a seven-inch vinyl with two bonus tracks — "Return Of The Spiders 2025" and "Titanic Overunderture".
